六十六歲的 Jimmy Scott 與去世的 Doc Pomus 同年出生。他親赴 Pomus 的葬禮, 以一圓好友的遺願, 把此曲獻給這位惺惺相惜, 同是天生有缺陷, 同在樂壇奮鬥的音樂人, 給予最後的悼念和追思, 以謝他對一眾老樂手的關愛。

前赴喪禮悼念儀式, 除了親友之外, 不乏業界和樂壇名人, 一些同輩仍記得這位在獻唱的歌手 Little Jimmy Scott, 而較年輕的人士, 對這位其貌不揚的小老頭, 唱腔奇特, 並不像一般黑人男歌手低沉豐厚的唱腔; 似是少年歌手把此曲 "Someone To Watch Over Me" 演譯出來, 除了詫異, 卻不知他背後的故事。
重 返 樂 壇 儀式完畢, 華納兄弟公司 Warner Brothers 的總裁 Seymour Stein 第一時間找上他, 以一紙合約, 同年1991年六月給大導演 David Lynch 演出 FBI 罪案懸疑電視片集 "Twin Peaks" 的大結局, Jimmy Scott 飾演他原來歌手的角色, 兼唱一曲 "Sycamore Trees"。及後, Warner Brothers 給他錄製另一歌曲, 是1992年的 "All The Way", 面世第幾天售出五萬張, 自此, 瘋魔日本的樂迷, 最後還要遠赴日本作現場演唱。
