"The 60's" 的反戰歌曲, 來自 Canada 加拿大女創作歌手 Buffy Sainte-Marie 的作品; 與大多數反戰歌曲不同, 歌詞内容並非針對政府或領導人, 卻是 "反問和譴責" 那些選民和自願參軍的人; 歌曲1963年九月面世, 美國民歌組合 "The Highwaymen" 的演繹, 翌年, 再由 Buffy Sainte-Marie 親自演繹, 面世之後, 並未立即成為熱門歌曲, 卻引起了當時民謠歌曲界的關注。

最著名的版本是由 Scotland 蘇格蘭民謠歌手 Donovan 1965年八月錄製的版本, 在英國 "Single Chart" 單曲榜最高排名第五, 加拿大排行榜第二十一位, 在美國則較不成功, 僅在排行榜上第五十三名而已。及後被多位歌手演繹和錄製唱片, 至今, 有記錄的版本三十三首, 八種語言有十二個歌詞版本共十七張唱片錄製的演繹。
