"The Old Monkees"
"分道揚鑣 聚少離多""The Monkees" 由四小子至四長者, 樂隊成員從沒有任何改動; 但是, 離合聚散不停, 在樂壇五十年來, 合作祇有二十年, 多數因大小爭拗而拆夥, 幾年後又復合, 甚至曾以三人組合出現過。樂隊由電視台悉心培養開始, 1966年組成至1971年解散, 四人分道揚鑣, 各自發展; 十五年後, 1986年首次復合至1990年又解散, 至2016年為止, 自組成以來, 聚散共四次, 可算是聚少離多。
DAVY JONES 1945-2012
2012年離世, 終年六十六歲; 至今, 其他三人仍然有合作, 經常與歌迷見面和表演。過去他們四人之間, 甚至和有關工作人員在錄音期間, 常有意見不合, 爭拗之多, 磬竹難書。樂隊祗是經電視台綴合而成, 隊員之間各不相投, 而才藝相近, 難以分工, 亦因為没有一個出眾的領頭羊帶領樂隊所致。有樂迷笑喻: "如果西班牙足球勁旅 "巴塞隆拿" 落場比賽的十一個球員, 全是 Lionel Messi 美斯, 看看是甚麼成績呢?"
"Missing Links" Vol. 1
全是 "The Monkees" 自1966至69年所錄下來但從沒有印製的歌曲, 除他們隊員之外, 還有知名作曲家、樂手、編曲和監製同參予錄音的作品, 在六十年代可稱為大製作的專輯, 但這些作品要經二十年才可重見天日; 1987年, 由 "Rhino Records" 把它印製成專輯面世, 繼而還有 "Missing Links Vol.2, Vol.3" 陸續出現。
