TERRY PARSON
1930年十二月一日, 生於英國, 倫敦中心, 一個舊城市 Shoreditch, 來自一個清貧的五孩之家, 他是老么, 原名字是 Terrence Edward Parson, 亦稱 Terry Parson。
三歲喪父, 繼而母親又因病重, 無法照顧, 惟有把他托養在别人家庭, 至五歲才返回母家。二戰時期, 因家貧令致十四歲要輟學, 到一家煙草公司任雜役小廝。未及十八歲, 加入戰後不久的志願軍團; 在軍中完成 "Tank 坦克戰車" 駕駛和操作。服役期間曾被派駐香港兩年, 在港時年剛二十二歲, 軍階 "坦克駕駛教官"。

Terry Parson 由於年輕時曾参加不少歌唱比賽, 常奪冠軍, 引致一些主辦方不願接納, 或参賽者的不悅。派駐香港期間, 亦参加過不同歌唱比賽, 並屢獲奬項; 在港最後一次的奬項, 是節目主持人 Ray Cordeiro 邀請他到該電台任嘉賓主持, 一個以 Terry 自己名字的半小時音樂節目 "Terry Parson's Sings" 於1953年六月二十七日, 首次與香港歌迷在空氣中亮聲。
在香港廣播歴史當中.《麗的呼聲》廣播電台於1949年一月三日啟播, 刊登在「華僑日報」的廣告: "月費九元, 安裝費二十五元", 可算消費高昂, 當年不是普通甚至中等家庭的經濟能力可負担。

1953年, Terry Parson 回到英國倫敦, 為了糊口, 任職公共車司機, 要幫補祇有微薄的工資, 有空便待在一間唱片錄音公司裡, 偶爾會有新歌曲演譯示範的工作。1956年, 認識了一些樂手朋友, 當中有鋼琴、低音結他和鼓手, 加上他任歌手, 很快便組成樂隊, 在蘇格蘭 Scotland 的城市, 格拉斯哥 Glasgow 一所名為 Green's Playhouse 的跳舞場所, 每星期五晚的演奏工作。有一天, 隊員在閒談中, 計畫要錄製一張私人的唱片, 作曰後各人找工作時的履歷; 决定後, 各人攤分費用, 跑到一間颇大規模的錄音室, 把一曲 "Polka Dots and Moonbeams" 錄下來。

1940年的作品, Jimmy Van Heusen 撰曲, Johnny Burke 作詞, 首唱由 Frank Sinatra 演譯, 繼而還有 Blue Mitchell, Sarah Vaughn, Wes Montgomery, John Denver。至2016年, Bob Dylan 他的專輯 "Fallen Angel" 當中亦有演譯此曲。至今被翻唱和純音樂演奏的版本達百多個。
