"Gulf War" and "Army Dreamers"
1990至1991年的第一次 "Gulf War 海灣戰爭", 見證了三十四個國家聯手將 Kuwait 科威特從 Saddam Hussein 薩達姆·侯賽因統治下的 Iraq 伊拉克解放出來。每天的戰事, 由美國的轟炸機用攝像機傳回來的視頻, 透過美國 "CNN" 有線電視, 成為人們習以為常在等待觀看的最新訊息, 令致觀眾漸漸被這個節目模糊了國際戰事與日常生活的界限, 亦有人視這場戰爭猶如電子遊戲。
"Army Dreamers" - Kate Bush
Catherine Bush 生於1958年, 十一歲開始創作歌曲, 十九歲一曲 "Wuthering Heights" 登上英國單曲榜的首位達四個星期, 成為英國流行榜上最年經的創作女歌手; 1980年的另一作品 "Army Dreamers", 時年二十二歲演繹一個悲傷母親的感受, 兒子被送上戰場, 歸家時已化作木棺裡的白骨。歌曲是悲嘆愛兒一生可以做的一切, "成為搖滾歌星? 政客? 為人父? 他該怎麼辦? 他甚至不能活到二十歲!"
1992年, 英國的雜誌公佈, 在 "Gulf War 海灣戰爭" 期間, 有一份被倫敦 "BBC" 電台列為 "不宜播放" 被禁制的歌曲清單, 六十七首當中包括了 Kate Bush 1980年的作品 "Army Dreamers"。

1988年, Israel 以色列女歌手 Mazzi Cohen 用上同一樂譜, 錄製的 Hebrew 希伯來語版本, 主題亦是關於失去了在軍隊服役的士兵, 歌曲名字希伯來文 "שם באבן", 字面意譯是 "石頭上的名字"; 唱片面世之後, 成為以色列每年五月十日至十一日 "Yom HaZikaron" 陣亡士兵紀念日, 與及為悼念一些平民在恐怖主義下成為受害者的一首輓歌。
