1975年三月面世, Janis Ian 的第七張專輯, 在這封套上的 Janis 對大多數樂迷仍記憶猶新之外, 專輯的十一首歌曲當中, 最為樂迷喜愛的 "At Seventeen" 是啟發自 "New York Times 紐約時報" 的一篇文章, 音樂節奏是 "Bossa Nova Jazz" 的作品。

流行榜第三位。
這首輕柔爵士樂歌曲, 內容是高校社交生活的寫照, Janis 起初不願意作公開演唱, 但是, 為了唱片推廣, 作現場演唱的版本, 亦收錄在其後的專輯當中。有樂評家認為是年青人的 "愛情頌歌 Love Anthem", 更被同性戀團體確認為 "同志歌曲" 之一; 但是, 多數樂迷均視為七十年代 Janis Ian 的招牌歌曲 Signature Song。而法語版 "À 17 ans" 亦由她首唱, 錄製唱片同時面世。
歌曲面世後, Janis 透露, "紐約時報 The New York Times" 裡的文章, 是講及十八歲的女子對愛情的憧憬, 由於歌詞和樂譜音韻而改以 "Seventeen", 這亦是少女年齡的最佳數字, 而 "滾石雜誌 Rolling Stone" 的作家亦將 "Seventeen 十七歲" 與 "Pop 流行" 聯繫在一起, 亦是青春少艾的 "標誌數字"。Janis 還剖白, 撰寫此曲之時, 年届二十四歲, 對現場演繹這一曲有內在的抗拒和悔悟, 全是由於自己的抉擇, 過早放棄學業, 抱憾沒有享受過高校的生活和舞會派對。一篇已失去, 又無法挽回的追惜, 經三個月的反覆不前才完成的歌曲。
