踏入2020年, 本文與樂迷見面之時, 是 Janis Ian 開展巡廻演唱的一年, 二月二十六日, 在 Ohio 俄亥俄州 Cincinnati 辛辛那提 Memorial Hall 首演; 二月二十八日, Akron 雅克倫 E. J. Thomas Hall; 繼而是三月一日, Indiana 印第安娜州 Bloomington 般明頓 Buskirk-Chumley Theater, 三個演唱會的門票早已公開發售。之後, 由七月起往後的一年內, 全國巡廻演唱會還有十四個之多。這想像到 Janis Ian 在樂壇至今, 一首令樂迷不會忘記的經典 ...

Janis Ian 十二歲開始歌曲創作, 十四歲在紐約市 New City 格林威治村 Greenwich Village 亮相之後, 走進流行樂壇。
兩位自 Janis 少年時已經仰慕, 亦是她的啟蒙歌手 Joan Baez 和 Odetta (1930-2008) 。直至在流行樂壇冒起至成名之後, 她的心願相繼實現; 1976年, 和 Odetta, Phoebe Snow 合唱一曲, 並收錄在專輯 "Aftertones" 當中, Janis 一首曲調舒暢又令人傷感的經典 "Hymn"。1995年, 和偶像 Joan Baez 現場合唱一首 Janis 1973年的作品 "Jesse"。
