ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT?
Elvis Presley 温柔和抒情的腔調, 加上磁性的獨白, 此曲在美國流行樂壇引起一番漣漪, 令原作品經三十多年之後再被注目, 自此, 不同節奏與有否獨白的翻唱版本, 在樂壇陸續而至, 當中不乏知名男女歌手, 欲一改個人風格以演譯此曲, 不過, Elvis 獨特的曲風, 與富感情的獨白和腔調, 相信是難以被取代的。
今天, 在網上衹要輸入"Are You Lonesome Tonight", 而 Elvis Presley 的名字多會連在一起出現, 由於這一曲已成為他的標誌歌曲之一。在音樂的資訉平台有記載, 有近一百五十位男女歌手翻唱或模仿, 包括女歌手對 Elvis 情意綿綿的 "Answer Song 回應歌曲"、改編成幽默惹笑的 "Parody 戲仿" 版本, 與及十幾個國家語言的演繹, 至今已錄製和面世的唱片, 共逹兩百多個不同版本。
"Discography of American Historical Recordings 美國唱片錄音歷史" 有記錄 "Are You Lonesome To-Night?", 有聲軌收錄的純音樂版本, 由 Lew White 個人獨奏管風琴, 在紐約市 Roxy Studio 的錄音, Brunswick 唱片公司印製, 1927年九月二十八日面世, 至2019年為止, 由大小樂隊的純音樂演奏, 有記錄的版本達五十多個。
