"Obla Di, Obla Da" Life goes on ...
Africa 非洲, Nigeria 尼日利亞南部, Yoruba 約魯巴人, 在他們日常生活遇上無可奈何時, 常掛在口邊這一句口頭語, 意思是: "Life goes on 總要活下去"。
Paul McCartney 曾在倫敦 Soho 蘇豪區, 一間名為 "Bag o'Nails" 的夜埸, 認識了一位常身穿色彩耀目的非洲服飾, 在室內亦架上太陽眼鏡的 Nigerian 尼日利亞人 Jimmy Scott-Emuakpor, 他有自己的樂隊, 名為 "Jimmy Scott & His Obla Di Obla Da", 以演奏西印度群島, 牙買加 Jamaica "雷鬼 Raggae" 節奏音樂, 他任"Conga 康加"鼓手和領隊。日常生活習慣, 每當他遇上不如意時, 總會自言自語一句: "Obla Di, Obla Da"。
兩人相識至結友後, Paul 才知道這語句的意喻是 "總要活下去 Life goes on"; 因此, 啟發了 Paul 要撰寫一曲。當告知 Jimmy 要把這口語撰寫成歌曲時, 他甚感不悅, Paul 亦心知他衹想討回一些好處而已, 並對他說: "嗨 ! Jimmy, 這祇是句表達語, 你亦可同樣寫首歌, 收益全是你的"。

這一句尼日利亞 Yoruba 約魯巴人的口頭語 "Ob-la-di ob-la-da" 給了 Paul McCartney 的寫作靈感, 完成了 "The Beatles" 另一經典; 但是, 亦引起了 Paul 與隊友 Ringo, George 和 John Lennon 之間的爭端之外, 並帶出了 Jimmy Scott-Emuakpor 與 Paul 的版權訴訟 ....
