"THE BARBRA STREISAND ALBUM"
哥倫比亞唱片公司 Columbia Record 對她賞識之外, 並給她一紙合約, 成為旗下歌手。1963年, 第一張個人名字的專輯 "Barbra Streisand Album" 面世, 銷量打入金唱片前十名, 並獲得兩項 "Grammy Award 格萊美獎", 成為該年度的專輯 "Album of the Year", 和最佳演繹女歌手 "Best Female Vocal Performance"; 芭芭拉 史翠珊, 時年二十一歲亦是該獎項最年輕女歌手。

婚姻 與 事業
首張個人專輯面世之後, 成績嬌人; 同年, 與舞台劇演員 Elliot Gould 兩人, 從曼哈頓與朋友合租的寓所遷出, 繼而走進教堂, 結成夫婦, 及後育有一子 Jason。她婚後仍致力唱片錄音工作, 亦参予電影和音樂劇演出。可惜, 這段婚姻衹維持了八年, 至1971年告終。

第二任丈夫是演員 James Brolin, 兩人於1998年七月一日結婚; 婚後並沒有孩子; 而 Brolin 的兩個孩子是來自過去的兩次婚姻, 其中一個兒子是演員 Josh Brolin。2018年七月二日, Barbra 和 James 共同慶祝結婚二十週年, 至今兩人仍維持着安逸和愉快的婚姻生活。

Barbra Streisand 有三次被傳的緋聞; 1970年與加拿大總理杜魯多 Pierre Trudeau 的約會。1974年, 與髮型師亦是製片人 Jon Peters 過從甚密而成了娛樂新聞; 至九十年代初, 與網球名將阿加斯 Andre Agassi 兩人之間的傳聞, Agassi 2009年的自傳, 當中亦有提及這段關係, 他認為主要障礙是兩人的年紀差距。

在她的舞台生涯, 所受最大心理壓力, 就是要站在佈置華麗的舞台上演唱, 主因是缺乏安全感而引至怯場。她將恐懼症歸究於1967年, 在紐約中央公園舉行, 一場免費音樂會 "Central Park Music Festival", 在十三萬觀眾和電視現場直播, 當要唱出 "When The Sun Comes Out" 卻忘記了歌詞, 又沒有以說詞來掩飾和拖延一下而令她尷尬; 自此, 盡量迴避一些大型舞台的演唱近二十多年。

Barbra Streisand 在美國流行樂壇出道以來, 至今所錄製的唱片, 是最高銷量的女歌手之一。從唱片錄音、電影、電視和舞台演藝生涯, 所贏得各類獎項和美譽是多不勝數, 她的經典歌曲成為不同年代樂迷的挚愛。1964 "People"; 1974 "The Way We Were"; 1977 "Evergreen"; 1982 "Memory"; 1978年與前高中校友 Neil Diamond 合唱的經典 "You Don't Bring Me Flower" 是樂迷難忘的作品之一。
