The Battle of Arnhem - 70th Anniversary Tribute - Max Bygraves
SPOKEN:
Sunday, September the 17, 1944
In attempts to bring the rapid end of 2nd world war
The mightiest day of all flows of us assembled
Takes off from south of England
The destination, Holland
The objective, to liberate the lovely country
And then drive deep into the very heart of Germany
At first, they have to take the bridge of Arnhem
Why were snow flakes falling from the sky, tell me why
In the September when the sun rose still high, tell me why
If you look closer, you'll have seen the bravest man they're ever being
They fell from heaven to the hell of road
This one no ordinary man
To gain our freedom
They gave their lives
We shall remember them
And now they're sleeping in the time of streams
Their glory days will never end
We keep a line a famous story
We shall remember them
And now they're sleeping amidst a field of dreams
We never see their lives again
We won''t forget those men of glory
We shall remember them

Royal Orchestra of the Netherlands 伴奏下, 演出了 "Il Silenzio" (The Silence) 這經典樂曲。
