ERIC CLAPTON - 5/3 : 訣 別 之 痛

"TEARS IN HEAVEN"
踏入1990年8月起的十個月, 是 Eric Clapton 極其動盪的時期。他的經理人和两位樂隊的工作人員, 在八月中一次直升機事故墜機身亡。七個月後, 1991年3月20日, 他四歲的兒子 Conor 在母親紐約的寓所, 因疏忽照顧, 由樓高53層的窗口墮下至死。

在這樣打擊下, Clapton 把精神寄托在影片的音樂篇撰工作, 為一齣有關兩男女警察, 任卧底揖毒任務的電影: "RUSH" 的挿曲配樂。此時, 更因失去愛兒的悲痛, 與 Will Jennings 合寫成 "Tears in Heaven", 這歌曲亦出現在電影與 Soundtrack Music 專輯中。

1991年的電影 "RUSH" (不同的中文譯名: 迷途枷鎖, 毒海情迷, 勇闖毒穴) 該電影總投入資金一千七百萬美元, 但是在美國的票房收入祇有七百萬, 相信亦影響到樂迷對 Clapton 這個電影配樂作品的關注。

但是, "Tears In Heaven" 1992年的現場 Unplugged 版本, 成了他另一風格的演譯, 此曲更被提名参選三項 "Grammy Awards"。Clapton 失去愛兒之後, 多番公開倡議, 世界要關注兒童的家居安全。
