NIGHTINGALE 夜 鶯
大多數雀鳥在晚上休憩, 而 "夜鶯" 之所以得名, 是來自牠的特徵, 常在寂靜的夜間鳴叫, 甜美的歌聲, 引吭高歌。"Nightingale" 香港的譯名 "南丁格爾" 是我們自幼從書本已認識的護士, 一位不怕辛勞, 日以繼夜悉心照顧病人, 每晚提着油燈走進病房, 舒解傷病者不安的情緒, 正是 "夜鶯" 的寫照, 因而被稱為 "The Lady with the Lamp 提燈女神"; 可能是神的安排, 給她神聖的任務和這個姓氏 "Nightingale"。
