FADO - 5/2: Maria Severa

Maria Severa Onofriana

MARIA SEVERA

MARIA SEVERA (1820 -1846)

MARIA SEVERA - Maria Clara
Num beco da Mouraria
Onde a alegria, do sol não vem,
Morreu Maria Severa
Sabem quem era? ...talvez ninguém

Uma voz sentida e quente,
Que hoje á terra disse adeus,
Voz saudosa, voz ausente,

MARIA SEVERA - Google Translate
In the Moorish alley
Where joy comes not from the sun,
Died Maria Severa
Know who it was? maybe no ...

A heartfelt and warm voice,
Today said goodbye to the land,
Wistful voice, absent voice,
But who lives forever,
Within us and with God
Besides the skies

Far away where the moonlight blue has more light
I see him praying at the foot of a cross,
Trinai, face guitars Run a sky
Singers weep, because she died.

Night fell in the alley
When her gaze stopped looking,
Left p'ra always unsuccessful,
Trying life, which made her cry.
Leave a idolized son,
What other affection thus has no
He is called "the sad fate"
What will be this foundling
If you have lost the greater good
Mother's Love

Far away where the moonlight blue has more light
I see him praying at the foot of a cross,
Trinai, face guitars Run a sky
Singers weep, because she died.
