Little Bill & The Bluenotes
1958年, 一隊來自華盛頓州 Washington, Tacoma, 由 Bill Engelhart 組成, 被譽為白人青年藍調先鋒的樂隊, 其名字的特別拼寫法 "The Bluenotes", 是源自一隊北卡羅蓮娜州 North Carolina 的黑人樂隊 "The Blue Notes", 亦是 Bill Engelhart 曾經参予的樂隊。

LOUIE LOUIE - Little Bill & The Bluenotes
消息被傳開後, 令有關部門極不高興, 市議會很快便通過一項新法令, 所有樂隊在該市內的表演均受新訂的條例管制。最後, "Little Bill & The Bluenotes" 在 Tocoma 市外, 一間名叫 "Little Gem" 的漢堡包小店附近, 找到一個表演場地; 自此, 每天晚上, 青年男女蜂擁而至。不久之後, 低音結他手 John "Buck" Ormsby 終於能一嘗心願, 能夠買了一支簇新 Fender 低音電結他, 亦是在當地首次出現的 Fender 結他型號。
The Wailers
1960年, 樂隊 "Little Bill & The Bluenotes" 解散; 同年, 在 Tacoma 市出現另一隊節奏和格調不同的樂隊 "The Wailers", 由於加入了 Rockin' Robin Roberts 和前樂隊 "The Bluenotes" 的成員低音結他手 John "Buck" Ormsby ; 樂隊開始在該市帶領了青年的跳舞熱潮。
"The Wailers" 亦是 Rockin' Robin Roberts 1961年錄製 "Louie Louie" 的樂隊, 因為他們和東岸紐約的 Golden Crest Records 有合約, 最終衹可以用 Rockin' Robin Robert 的個人名字印在唱片上, 並交由 Etiquette Records 錄製發行。
