1972年驚嚇電影; 是1971年電影 "Willard 鼠殺手" 的後續故事, 劇中一個孤獨男孩在家裡, 與一隻老鼠為伴, 這老鼠名叫"Ben"是一群老鼠的首领, 一次鼠群要保護男孩免受欺凌而開始互結為朋; 然而, 事情卻逐漸向下轉 ....

"Ben" 的鼠群漸變更强悍, 造成給人們有傷亡的事故發生。最後, 導致警方以火焰噴射器把鼠群剿滅; 鼠群傷亡惨重, "Ben"負傷回到男孩身傍, 給發現傷重垂危, 男孩甚感悲傷, 不願失去這個鼠朋友, 加以照顧要把它的生命挽救回來。

這部電影的票房不算成功, 但是同名的主题歌曲由 Michael Jackson 以輕柔聲調的演譯, 曾獲得金球獎最佳歌曲, 又被提名為1973年度奧斯卡最佳原創歌曲獎, 此曲在颁獎禮當晚再由 Michael 演出, 結果輸給了 "Poseidon Adventure 海神號遇險記" 的主题歌曲 "The Morning After"。
"BEN" 這曲是 MJ 以個人的首張登上1972年十月十四日的 Billboard Chart 榜首位置; 當年他祗有十四歲另四十六天。

"BEN" 此曲由 Don Black 撰詞, Walter Scharf 作曲, 原本是給 Donny Osmond 演譯, 但因為 Osmond 要作巡迴演唱而無暇参予錄音工作, 為了配合電影故事的男孩角色, 與及錄製至發行公映的日期安排, 唯有决定交給 "The Jackson 5" 組合中的小弟弟 Michael 以個人唱出。除了 US Billboard Chart 之外, "BEN" 在其他的不同榜中亦佔一席位。之後在 "The Jackson 5" 的專輯精選, 和 Michael 的個人不同專輯, 此曲亦有收錄在當中。
今天, 人類在不能互助互信下生活; 相比一些被人類視之為厭惡的小動物, 跟電影中男孩的相遇, 與及 Michael Jackson 以他温純的聲調, 感人的歌詞, 唱出人間之外仍有真挈友情的一面。
