一本1972年由 Pete Seeger 撰寫有關民歌的歴史、民權與演唱者的書 "The Incompleat Folksinger (1972)。"God Bless The Grass" 與及 "Dangerous Songs" 這两首60年代的歌曲亦被篇入在當中的文章内。
在整個70年代末期至進入80年代, 很多音樂人與民謠歌手、詞曲作者合辦的演唱會, 比比皆是。但是這個時候的 Pete Seeger 却與其他社會活動份子合作, 要清除 "克遜河 Hudson River" 的污染行動, 並創立環保組織, 以單桅帆船在河上巡迴清理河水與濕地, 同時舉辦一些音樂活動作經費籌募以維護河流的環保工作。
