《La Marcha Real 皇家進行曲》
原是一首軍樂, 後來成為西班牙國歌, 至今仍沒有歌詞, 亦算是世界上最古老的"國歌"之一。
1870年曾經舉辦過全新國歌創作比賽, 因沒有得到好的作品, 最後仍要保留原國歌。及後內戰期間, 曾一度被國内共和黨的勢力, 以 "Himno de Riego" 新樂曲填上歌詞取而代之, 但最終不敵獨裁的 General Francisco Franco 法朗歌將軍, 1942年决定回復原曲另加上歌詞為國歌, 至1975年法朗歌去世。1978年再改以新名字 "Himno Nacional Español" 並棄用歌詞, 作為法朗歌獨裁年代的終結, 給人民得以一些紓解 。1997年西班牙皇族收回國歌樂譜的版權, 决定國歌的執行方式, 下令國歌的長版本衹給國皇專用, 短的版本給皇子, 首相與不同的場合使用, 但仍以不同版本用於軍樂, 管絃樂, 風琴演奏, 以樂曲的長短, 音調的不同, 如 A-Major, A-Flat, B-Flat Major 之細分。
2016年奥運辦期間, 西班牙奥委會眼見英超利物浦的會歌 "You'll Never Walk alone" 之成功, 曾試將國歌 "Himno Nacional Español" 公開徵求歌詞, 但被眾多政客與首相 PM José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero 反對, 力指此風會令至 Basques 巴斯克, Catalans 卡太蘭 (巴塞隆那)與 Galicians 加利西亞, 這三大地域至更多的民族分化。這反對公佈後仍收到七千多個參予者的國歌填詞作品, 雖全不被接受, 不過西班牙國內的不同自治城市皆早有自己的 (國歌)了。
